Bruno Narciso D'Almeida, a 39-year-old Mozambican, is an eternal lover of dance. In 2006, he discovered Argentine tango after a trip to Argentina and has never stopped dancing since then. He started taking tango classes at L.E. Tango in Lisbon, Portugal, in the same year. In 2010, he took his first steps in Kizomba, based on the structure of Argentine tango, even though he did not attend classes for this new style that captivated him. Upon returning to Mozambique in 2012, Bruno saw Tango losing ground to Kizomba. In late 2015, he created the project of a Kizomba Hub, ONE TWO STEP, associated with Frias Fumo and the restaurant O BISTRO with the aim of providing Kizomba moments to those available and interested. Due to demand, in October 2016, the project of a Dance Academy emerged, DANCE SPOT, which brings together various entities with the goal of teaching different dance styles, associated with dance events throughout the city in different venues.   In 2017, the Dance Spot project became a reference in Maputo, and in May of the same year, a partnership began with dancer Ana Biltes where both became coordinators of the Kizomba modality at the Academy. In June of that year, Bruno had the opportunity to enhance his knowledge by participating in the 10th Level 1 Kizomba Teacher Training Course taught by Ricardo and Paula from Afro Latin Connection in Portugal. In 2018, aiming for growth and focusing on developing new social dance techniques and teaching methodologies, as well as promoting and creating festive and multidisciplinary dance environments.   Mariana Silva, 29-year-old, also a Mozambican, is a passionate dancer and dance teacher whose love for the art of dance has shaped her life from an early age. In 2014, Mariana began her dance journey by joining classes at the renowned school Habanarte, where her natural talent stood out. With guidance and support from her mentors, she flourished and later became an inspiring teacher. In 2015, she participated in the prestigious national Kizomba competition África Dançar, showcasing her exceptional ability and passion for dance. Her pursuit of excellence in dance led her to join the sports dance school in 2016, where she deepened her knowledge in various styles such as cha-cha-cha, rumba, salsa, jive, among others.   In 2018, Mariana began her journey as an Urbankiz teacher at the renowned Dance Academy Dance Spot, sharing her talent and passion with her students.   Recognized as an excellent teacher, Mariana was invited to conduct workshops and participate in various international festivals in locations such as Swaziland, Johannesburg, and Cape Town, further enriching her cultural and artistic background.   In 2022, Bruno and Mariana start a partnership and currently dedicate themselves to teaching the Kizomba style at Dance Spot Academy, inspiring their students with their refined technique and unconditional love for dance, also  sharing their knowledge beyond borders in international workshops and festivals. ________________   "With time, dance has become a part of me, a muscle as important as the heart."  - Bruno Narciso D'Almeida
