Tomasa – Guadeloupe
Dance Artist
Tomasa hails from the Caribbean, specifically from Guadeloupe. She began learning salsa at the age of 9 and has never stopped since.
Specializing in On2 salsa, she also draws inspiration from various dance styles, including contemporary, jazz, Gwoka (traditional dance from Guadeloupe), Afro-Cuban, heels, street jazz, and even flamenco. As a dancer, Tomasa has trained alongside some of the greatest talents in the salsa world as well as other genres (street jazz, heels).
In 2022, Tomasa became the official French champion of salsa in the professional category.
These diverse influences and experiences have allowed her to develop her own unique style and teaching methodology. Today, as a dancer, instructor, and choreographer, Tomasa is recognized both in Paris and internationally for her distinctive style and exceptional teaching approach.
Based in Paris, Tomasa champions a concept she calls "Musical Movement": body movement in service of musicality. This concept aims to help dancers find ways to express musicality through movement.
These days, Tomasa is not only sharing her passion in Paris but also exporting her unique approach and vision of dance and musicality to the international stage. Through workshops, performances, and collaborations around the world, she inspires dancers of all levels to explore their own creativity and connection to music.
